Reducing Re-offending Strategy Board for Wales

Information on the groups taking forward and implementing the Wales Reducing Re-offending Strategy.

The Board is responsible for setting and driving overarching strategy specific to Wales to help improve public safety and reduce levels of re-offending by at least ten per cent by 2010/11.

The Board is jointly chaired by the Director for the Offender Management Service in Wales and the Director for the Welsh Assembly Government's Social Justice and Regeneration Department.

The Strategy Board brings together a range of partners to ensure that all can work together towards reducing re-offending. The Board considers issues which affect the delivery of the strategy as a whole, including the impact on members' organisations and areas of responsibility.
