The South East Regional Offender Management Office leads the South East team to deliver NOMS aims locally.

The South East is the biggest of the regions, both in geographical and population terms, and embraces three Prison Service Areas running 30 prison establishments, five Probation Service Areas overseeing 18,000 community-sentenced offenders, and 8 million citizens.

The Regional Offender Manager, has overall responsibility for the reduction of re-offending in the South East by ensuring that the statutory, voluntary and private sectors work together to deliver high-quality services to offenders and their families.
Key deliverables include:

• Developing and leading a strategy to reduce re-offending in the region

• Effective integration of the work of prison and probation in the management of offenders

• Ensuring that interventions with all offenders are appropriately targeted to maximise effectiveness

• Developing and applying appropriate commissioning arrangements to provide a wide range of interventions, achieve best value and ensure healthy competition

• Building effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across the region and demonstrating the added value from those joint working relationships
