Back to South East Regional Reducing Re-offending Strategy

NOMS South East Alliances

An action plan has been developed for how NOMS South East will work with each of the three NOMS Alliances. These action plans will be closely linked with the work of the region's Reducing Re-offending Delivery Board and Pathway Boards.

The Corporate Alliance in the South East will build on existing good practice and research, such as that sponsored by the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) (new window), to identify pathways for offenders into employment in the built environment.

The Education, Training and Employment Pathway Board is driving forward the development of this alliance within the region.

The Government Office for the South East (GOSE) (new window) is working closely with the ROM SE team to develop the Civic Alliance, particularly through greater recognition of the reducing re-offending agenda in the Local Area Agreement (LAA) negotiation process.

A part-time coordinator has been engaged within the ROM SE team to facilitate the development of the Voluntary, Community and Faith Alliance.

A steering group has been established to oversee this alliance in the region, and its terms of reference include reviewing and contributing to the planning and commissioning processes in respect of offender services.
