NOMS South East Reducing Re-offending Delivery Board

NOMS South East Reducing Re-offending Delivery Board's purpose is to oversee the development and implementation of a strategy to reduce re-offending, creating safer, stronger and more socially inclusive communities.

The Delivery Board

The Delivery Board also promotes partnership working across the South East and across the voluntary, private and public sectors.

Its functions within the strategy are principally those of:

  • direction and priority setting (informed by analysis and recommendations from the Pathway Boards)
  • enabling the work of the Pathway Boards, and brokering and leveraging change
  • ensuring that overarching issues and links between the pathways, and with other relevant regional and cross-regional work, are maximised

An independent chair has been engaged to lead the Board.  Membership consists of regional directors and strategic leads from across key organisations in the statutory, voluntary and community sectors that work with offenders, and includes at least one representative (usually the Chair) of each of the Pathway Boards.

Commercial and business involvement has been identified as an area for future development. The Board will also consider involvement of offenders and ex-offenders in the strategy.
